This is my personal hidden gem that, oif possible, I hope NO ONE finds it The Chirashi bowl is PERFECT. The agadashi tofu is light and fluffy. The hamachi handroll melts in your mouth. And the amaebi is to DIE for, quiet literally as you watch the amaebi get be-headed infront of you (sorry little fellaws...) I love the bar seats just to watch the chef delicately handle each cut of fish I am back in osaka

Stumbled upon this discreet looking spot one weekend and absolutely enjoyed it. We ordered the chirashi bowl for something filling. Their sashimi was fresh and cut very generously, with a lovely deluxe assortment. The interior is casual and intimate, and the sushi chefs behind the bar really make sure you enjoy. The servers are also very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be returning.

My friend and I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant purely by chance. With no particular expectations in mind, we were taken aback by the unassuming exterior that belied the culinary treasure within. While the storefront may have resembled any other sushi joint, the moment we tasted the chirashi bowl, we were utterly astonished by its exceptional quality and flavor. Adding to the delightful experience was the warm hospitality of the lady serving us, who generously shared her expertise and recommendations on the diverse selection of sake available. In the midst of a seemingly ordinary setting, this establishment shines as a testament to small business excellence, delivering unexpectedly outstanding cuisine that truly exceeds all expectations.

After about 18 months I finally made it back to Los Angeles and Sushi Go 55. I asked for omakase and I received a great meal. The older sushi chef made the majority of the sushi items and the other chef added a few items as well. Of course the fish and everything else was delicious and fresh. The clam miso soup near the end was delicious and the chawan mushi was great. There were other guests in the restaurant for a Saturday lunch seated at tables. I hope Sushi Go 55 gets more customers who appreciate truly wonderful food.

We decided to visit this Japanese restaurant last night as we were craving Japanese cuisine. It is in the same building as Daiso in Little Tokyo, on the third floor. We were pleasantly surprised to find restaurants upstairs because there were not that many people and stores in the plaza. They have their own parking structure, and since we dined at the restaurant, our parking was validated. One thing though, although it wasn't busy, the food took a while to come out because there were not that many people working there. Given that it was a weekday, the restaurant wasn't bustling. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a friendly server who provided attentive service throughout our meal. We went for their Chirashi bento, as it's their specialty. Priced at $39 per box, they were remarkably delicious! It came with miso soup too which tasted amazing. My favorites were the toro and the ebi. Although there was one type of fish that tasted a bit fishy, it's a common flavor for that particular fish in Chirashi dishes elsewhere. We also got their salmon skin handroll which tasted good but a little bit burnt. Considering the price tag of $39, the bento was a bit expensive. However, it was very good and super filling. I highly recommend paying a visit to this place if you're in the area.

Excellent, attentive service. Waiter gives you time to review menu and comes right over when he sees you lift your head! Food was great for a lunch menu - super fresh cuts of sashimi. Tempura done just right. Lunch ranges from $25-$30. And we always appreciate validated parking in this neighborhood

I stumbled upon this restaurant because I was craving chirashi bowl. I did not expect much since the restaurant was pretty empty on Sunday lunch time. But I was so wrong. The sashimi was fresh and the quality was very good. The sushi rice was well seasoned and everything goes well together. The beautiful presentation in two layers bento boxes was an added bonus. This was one of the best chirashi bowls I have had so far. For around $30, I believe the price was also very fair.

Food quality and service from both host, server and chefs are great! Ambiance makes you feel like you are not LA. I frequent this sushi spot for lunch during the week. My coworkers and I enjoy their salmon skin salad (Large), and our sushi (salmon, yellowtail and Spanish mackerel. Today, I tried their Chirashi Matsu, with Uni and Ikura. It's pretty good. I would recommend anything on this menu. The chefs take pride in their presentation of the sushi, and it shows. There's parking (need parking validation at restaurant) on Levels 3-4, then take the bridge to inside mall. Take escalators up one floor and it's in the right corner. Will be back for sure!

Ah how I have missed you Sushi Go 55. Chef Tomo and his team do an amazing job in making some delicious sushi. Service is friendly and quick. Chef makes sure to prepare all his fish perfectly. Sometimes there is only one chef so patience goes a long way. This time I really loved the stuffed lotus and the stuffed shiitake with shrimp. Everything was amazing as always! Thank you!! Favorites are halibut, king salmon, blue fin and snapper.
